Role & Responsibilities
- Understand business and functional requirements while contributing to test planning activities.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases, documenting test results meticulously.
- Assist in developing and executing automation test scripts using Karate (API testing) and Playwright (UI testing).
- Execute automated test suites and analyze the results effectively.
- Log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA members to ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously enhance testing skills and adapt to new QA tools and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Engineering graduate, MCA, or a related field with 0-2 years of experience.
- Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience or project exposure to manual testing.
- Basic knowledge of API automation using Karate.
- Introductory experience with Playwright or similar UI automation tools.
- Understanding of test case design and the defect lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
