Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Build and maintain user interface components with React.js and JavaScript (ES6).
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs and integrate them into full‑stack applications.
- Create reusable components and frontend libraries to improve scalability and maintainability.
- Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, production‑grade code using HTML5 and CSS3.
- Implement state management solutions using Redux or Context API.
- Author and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, optimise queries and data structures for performance.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Concourse; maintain code quality with Sonar and Git workflows.
- Monitor application performance with tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana or Splunk and act on findings.
- Manage message queues and event streaming using SNS, SQS or Kafka.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in live production applications.
- Collaborate effectively in Agile/Scrum teams, promote best coding practices and share knowledge.
- Leverage AI-assisted developer tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor to increase productivity.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5–8 years of professional experience in full‑stack software development (Mid‑Senior level).
- Strong experience developing backend services in Java with Spring Boot.
- Hands‑on experience with Hibernate ORM.
- Proven experience building and maintaining React.js frontends.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6) and modern build tools such as Webpack and Babel.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Ability to create reusable frontend components and libraries for scalable UIs.
- Competent in HTML5 and CSS3 for creating responsive user interfaces.
- Experience with state management (Redux or Context API).
- Strong testing mindset with experience writing unit tests.
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimisation.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Concourse) and using tools like Sonar and Git.
- Knowledge of application performance monitoring (Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana or Splunk).
